Raising Kids in DSM

Greater Des Moines is an amazing community where you can truly connect with leaders of any level and grow your career. The amenities make it a great place to live, work, raise a family and have fun.

Greater Des Moines (DSM) favorites that are top of the list for Jessica include the vibrant live music scene. From big name acts taking the stage at Wells Fargo Arena to the mix of diverse and eclectic artists performing at Wooly’s, Hoyt Sherman Place, Noce jazz club and many others; DSM features an amazing mix of mainstream and innovative music that resonates with many people on their own individual level.

Also included on Jessica’s DSM faves list is the Iowa State Fair. The annual event showcases the best of the best like headlining musicians and other live entertainment, carnival rides at the Midway and incredible (and unique!) eats. The start of the fair every August brings with it the opportunity to indulge in Iowa’s delicious foods, agricultural activities, prize-winning feats from local artists, makers and bakers, and anything else you could think of!

Jessica also loves the local restaurant scene within the region boasting unique dining venues and menus, cuisines from around the world and locally owned favorites. Explore the taste of each DSM community by visiting neighborhood restaurants to get a true flavor of what it’s like to call this region home.
