ITS Business Systems Consultant II

Job Description

The City of West Des Moines has an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level IT professional to join our IT team as a Business Systems Consultant – currently, this position will be on our Applications team.

Under general direction, this role coordinates and manages moderately complex activities related to the support, deployment, configuration, and usage of enterprise and departmental infrastructure and application related initiatives. This includes assisting in the selection and implementation of application and technology systems, business process improvements and procedural analysis, management of interfaces and system set up for technology related initiatives. May also manage technology vendor relationships on behalf of the City. This person will provide troubleshooting, resolution, and proactive risk management on related technical subject matter area. Technical subject matter areas include SharePoint, support of City entities (Fire, Police Department, Library and other City departments), applications and servers.
